I live on a steep hill. Autosocks worked perfectly up and down. The local roads were usually covered with snow and they were very useful here also. They were great on parking places which had not been salted. We drive an Audi Q3 FWD diesel.
I got hopelessly stuck in my Audi A4 , after being caught in a heavy snowfall whilst visiting customers. I fitted the Autosocks and was a little sceptical that they would offer much assistance. How wrong I was - they completely transformed the car and offered immediate grip to a very high level. With the Autosocks fitted I could even get up quite steep hills with ease. Without the Autosocks I could barely get any grip on a flat surface. Highly recommended, and got me out of a major problem, and what would have undoubtedly been a night spent sleeping in the car !
I can't recommend AutoSocks highly enough. We live in Sheffield which is very hilly. Last year when we had a heavy fall of snow all the main roads were gridlocked but, with the Autosocks on, we sailed up all the hilly back roads where no-one else had driven and got home with no problem. We live at the top of a steep hill and we were the only ones to drive up it. They are light, take up very little space in the boot, are easy to put on and the price is reasonable. I would never be without AutoSocks in the boot.
I live at the bottom of an estate with three ways to leave all uphill! My BMW 3-series won't move even on a frosty road. With the autosocks fitted it's like driving on a dry road even in the snow. Superb product! my only problem is with low-profile tyres, the space between the tyre and the wheel arch makes fitting very difficult, however I use a small roller jack to lift the car on my drive to fit the socks before setting off. Takes about 5-mins per wheel but we'll worth the time. Removing is easy.
works well.easy to use.good value.easy to carry round
If, like me, you live in a hilly place where the local council can't be bothered to grit, then these are essential. They work exactly as advertised. The only slight problem I have come across is that they are not very easy to remove when you have limited room in the wheelarch as on a mk2 Ka. Fitting is easier but not without some slight struggling. Overall though, an amazing piece of kit.
Autosock is the probably the best thing you could ever buy because in these harsh weather conditions you want to feel safe and you want to be with your love ones. Autosock is great for rear wheel drive especially for BMW. once you have put them on you can straightaway drive off.
This product works almost as well as chains but is a LOT easier to fit. I have a 4x4 but used these to give me almost UNBEATABLE purchase on the road, UP and DOWN hill. they are much better than Winter Tyres and are a fraction of the cost. I hyped them so much several friends have since purchased them and have begun their own hype :)
very easy to put on-much easier than chains. I leave my AutoSock in the boot year round-take up next to no space. amazing performance in snow
Excellent product. My mondeo has 18" alloys and wide wide tyres. This means it is useless in the snow. Rather than forking out hundreds of pounds for winter tyres (£500 a pair) I bought AutoSock. Great to pop on when you leave a slippery side road and the pop off once on the main road. Will use again. Makes you feel a lot safer on the snow covered side roads
Really pleased with quick delivery and customer help. They have been really good in that it hasn't snowed since I bought them last year!! Just changed cars and delighted that they will still fit even though slightly different tyre size.Check should you be changing car. Stowed safely in boot for when I do need them. Did a lot of research- do not waste your money on cheap or even more expensive imitations.Designed in Norway and accepted on French ski slopes - not that we're going there! Would recommend without hesitation.
Was taking the family skiing to Val d'Isere last February half term. Myself and my neighbour were both driving our families across France and up the French Alps. He was in his 4x4 BMW and me in my lowly two wheel drive Ford Galaxy. Both cars were fully laden with kids and gear and we made good progress, despite my neighbour's need to keep stopping to refuel, but we didn't encounter snow covered roads until we arrived at Val d'Isere. Our Chalet was located at the end of a steep, narrow road covered in hard pack snow, about half-way up we encountered a ski bus coming in the opposite direction and as soon as we stopped I knew I wasn't t going to start again. Having experience of putting on snow chains I feared the worst but five minutes later the AutoSock were on and from a standing start we were up the hill and at the chalet no problems at all. My neighbour, who had spent a lot on money on winter tyres, however was not so fortunate. I had to go back and give him a tow.
I used Autosocks for the first time in March 13. It had snowed heavily during the day and I was parked at the bottom of a steep hill. Needed a bit of strength to manoeuvre the socks into place with freezing fingers (recommend a trial run in the dry) but having slithered scarily home the night before I was astonished at the difference. Dug car out early the next morning & the 5 mile drive to work was a breeze. Of 100s of staff, I was one of the only non 4x4 drivers to even attempt the journey. If snow's predicted this winter - buy some!
I live on an isolated disused airfield and my car a Mercedes A170 is useless on even an inch of snow. The autosock allowed me to get to the gate a mile away.
fabulous i powered up those snow trodden hills in west yorkshire brilliant product no need for expensive snow tyres ..just put AutoSock on your tyres -same job - fraction of the cost
Brilliant , i ploughed throw the deepest of snow and sub zero ice and snow in yorkshire , i felt safe and confident i could get up any hill whilst driving in AutoSock !!! ...and indeed i did . I carried them in the boot of the car and just popped them on when the snow got bad .. cheers well worth every penny
Fantastic product, car kept going in the snow until the bumper pushed the snow up to its top edge. The hardest part was putting the socks on, there is very little room on my car between the tyres and the wing so it took much longer than I expected, but it was well worth it
Love these so much I recently release my well used pair with a new set ready for the next winter. They are easy to put on & take off. They give you so much traction they allow to drive like you normally would on tarmac (abit at a lot slower speed, you wouldn't want to floor it anyway) My only issue with these are that they don't carry a warning on the storage bag they come in. So please be advised that could cause you to get abuse thrown at you when have a smug look driving past 4x4's stuck on hills & country lanes.
Can't comment as we have not had the snow !
I've never had to use it (winter tyres are great and make a massive difference). It's in the wheel well if I need them and they do stow away very neatly!
I used the Autosock on my Mercedes coupe. I had them in the boot for the winter and got stuck at a friends house in pretty bad snow. It was a 50/50 decision if it was even safe to drive, however we decided to go for it. They were absolutely amazing and it simply would have been impossible to drive without them. I did think by the time I got home (about 16miles away) that they would be all used up but they were in fantastic condition. I truly would, and have recommend them to anyone. An excellent product and one that I would be happy to endorse.
Well worth every penny. They work really well. Just remember to remove them from your wheels once you get back on to tarmac road
I have driven a rear wheel BMW for several years, the rural village I live in is accessed by hills and the roads don't get gritted. It was great to be able to drive up the hills which the village kids were sledging down.
Easy to put on the vehicle and works as it says!!!
Fortunately I did not need to use the Autosock last year and I have since changed my vehicle. I gave yhe autosock to the new owner as the size does not fit my new vehicle. I will be purchasing a new set
Good
I used the auto socks last year on my vw eos auto, while other cars were stuck and sliding everywhere I just sailed past them, it was like driving a 4x4 great product cheers guys
After a couple of minor problems during light to medium snow I bought two pairs of AutoSocks for our cars as my wife gets quite jumpy about being caught in snow and I've had a couple of close calls. Not had to use them so far but very reassuring to know that they are in the boot and easy to fit to keep us safe
It has been excellent - since I bought them, they have successfully prevented it snowing!!!
I drive a Prius, which is automatic, in a hilly area and had run into difficulties in previous years when there was only 3 cm of snow. I therefore invested in AutoSock and having left my car in a hilly car park for three hours found 5 cm of snow. It took 5 to 10mins to fit them and I drove away with ease, and safety. Removing them was very easy. We'll worth buying
I live at the top of a steep hill with 2 hairpin bends! I can always get home even if others have abandoned their cars! Easy to put on and off, and they live in my car. I recommend them to all my colleagues
With a rear wheel drive van snowy/icy roads were a no go. Quite often not being able to drive up the service road to my garage. Last year I gave these a go. I was able to get to customers houses and back, even up steep icy inclines. Highly recommended.
Having had traction problems in snow conditions with my Mercedes Vito during previous winters, I decided I had better be prepared last year. At first I considered having winter tyres fitted, but I could not justify the cost of doing this, so opted for AutoSocks instead. This was definitely the correct decision. I only used them when there was snow on the road and they were absolutely brilliant. They take no time to fit and are easy enough to remove. They must not be used on tarmac however, because they will undoubtedly wear through very quickly, so if the snow clears, you need to stop and remove the socks. As a bonus, I used the socks when I got stuck on a muddy track and they worked brilliantly, although they needed a good wash afterwards. Excellent product and highly recommended.
I have not had to use them as yet but feel good knowing that they are in the car if needed.
Not yet needed to be fitted
I thought this product was excellent. I have a Citreon C1 which i used the snow sock on very successfully. I would recomend it to anyone who cant afford a 4x4.
Used on our BMW X1. We've seen rear wheel drive cars struggling in the snow before so bought some AutoSock in preparation for winter. The proved useful on a couple of occasions! They work brilliantly, the car drove in a very assured manner on the snow. And I suspect a few people watching me drive the car up a hill on thick icy snow may well have rushed out to get their own. Any drawbacks? Not really; be aware that for rear wheel drive cars you'll need four as the steering and the drive is separate. Not a fault of Autosock of course but does make it a little more expensive. Putting them on. No denying they are a touch fiddly. I'd recommend wearing a pair of gloves to avoid skinning knuckles. This will be dependent to some degree on the on the wheel arch clearance of your car. The higher the arch the easier it is. Given the price and performance, the slight fiddle getting them on is more than worth it. Great product!
These are great to keep in the boot in case it snows and worked great once fitted however getting them off proved a little awkward as I broke a few nails trying to get them off again, so be careful. Having said that they got me out of a tight spot up a hill on a secluded country lane covered in snow so really glad I purchased them.
Not used them yet, but better safe than sorry I say, recommended by a friend who lives out the back of beyond and he swears by them, just remember to remove them when you're out of trouble.
Used on a mercedes vito sport x. Previous year even the lightest of snow had me stranded. Bought these for last winter and they turned my rear wheel drive van into what felt like a 4x4. Can't recommend them enough. The only thing is taking them off, be prepared to get a little mucky!
Not had to use it yet, it was quickly delivered and I now have a set for both my car and my Wife's. In addition all of our operational vehicles carry them at work, which is the most cost effective solution available for fleet use.
Even driving in the French Alps the number of occasions you need chains or socks is not that great so the cheaper and very much easier option of AutoSock appeals, and they are also far cheaper than snow tyres. This is my second set so I must be convinced. Ease of use and much lower risk of damage to car a big plus point.
Used the Autosock in the UK & up the Alpes, several times would not leave home with out them in the car. So good got a set for the van last year & am about to buy anther set for the front end of my car, BMW, better in the Alpes.
Ski trip to Andorra and French 2013 - 01.2013 - I used the socks on the rear wheels of my S Class Merc, I was impressed with the easy of use and also the grip. however, I really needed more grip on the front so I have just brought another set, so I have socks for all 4 wheels. A good bit of kit, also light and pack up small. Happy with the kit- Richard - Murcia Spain 02.12.2013
have struggled with snow chains for many years - getting cold and dirty - not to mention wet - whilst kneeling on the road side avoiding passing cars. Last year I invested in AutoSock before heading to the French Alps. The first time I used the AutoSock it took me 2 or 3 minutes to get them on both drive wheels. The following time just over a minute. They were effective and turned our Fiat Multipla into a nimble, snow-sure vehicle. Perhaps the biggest benefit of all though is the fact that you can easily whip them on and off as the road surface changes. How many times do you see cars with snow chains on clattering down the road on ploughed snow free tarmac? This is usually because the final part of their journey may require chains and the thought of taking them off and putting them on again is too horrendous to contemplate. Chains on ploughed roads damage tyres and reduce braking to a lottery - and many drivers are unaware of this fact. With AutoSock you can put them on to get out of that snow filled drive, take them off on the ploughed main roads, and replace them if your destination is snow covered or slippery. In the UK or in Europe AutoSock are an absolute must - I definatley recommend them - and have done to friends already!!!
Very useful on our road in North Yorkshire, easy to apply and good traction....already in the car for this year !!!
Used AutoSock for the full week in January in Les Houches with fresh snow each morning. Very good value and very effective even stopping on steep slope and putting them on to start again. Do get cuts when used on rough car parks so you have to go slow when steering to park not to cause too much damage. My wife drives to work so we have them in the car now ready for the odd snow fall this year.
I have used them many times in the French and Swiss Alps - works every time. Much easier than chains and no tyre damage.
Got stuck in the snow trying to get my car up a hill so bought these with the hope that they would help. Was very pleased with them in the heavy snow and got me out of a fix on more than one occasion last winter. Got them in the boot of the car now ready to go and they give you that bit more confidence. Recommended!
I haven't had to use it yet but it is very easy to carry in the back of the car and looks as though it will be easy to use; even comes with a protective pair of gloves.
I bought the AutoSocks last year, and I had to use them as I got stuck in a hill on my way to work! They worked perfectly and after I put them in the car had no problems in the snow. The only bit of downside was obviously having to stop and get out of the car to put them on (while wearing a suit and high heels!) however, they are easy to use (didn't need a man to help!!) So I would recommend them specially to women as it is not nice to lose control of your car in the snow!! :)
Purchased these after 2 severe winters. As fate would have it the recent winter was mild. So I have not tried them but I have no doubt that they work as they come recommended by "Which" magazine known for its independent and impartial reviews. To compound things I've since changed the car to one with a different wheel size but I'm sufficiently confident in the product to order a new set.
Used my AutoSock twice last year and was able to get out of both slippery situations easily.
Where I used to live was quite remote and the house was 2 miles of the main road so we were troubled with snow. I had to use the socks once and they were very good as long as you take your time the grip remains high. The car I had at the time was an S Max which I have now replaced with a Ford Kuga with "All Wheel Drive" I am not convinced that I will manage without another pair of AutoSock.
Bought 2 sets for me and my son. My son has used his on numerous occasions and was impressed with the road holding and ease as to be able to ascend uphill with no problems at all. He said that it was the best investment he had made for the car. Due to my work commitments i have not been able to use mine at this moment but going on what my son said i shall have no problem using them when required.
I did not have to use last year so cannot give review yet.
Very good product, got me out of trouble. I drove past many people stuck in the snow. Would buy this product again and I recommend it also.
I was stuck on an icy car park in the Malvern Hills, there was a slight slope and I just couldn't get enough grip to move my campervan onto the main road. Luckily, there was another van there and the driver, seeing my predicament, lent me his AutoSock which were the correct size. I was able to drive out of the car park with no problem. I have since bought your wonderful product and although I haven't had to use them yet, it's reassuring to know that they're there if needed.
I drive a lot in remote and countryside areas and have experienced difficulty in the snow. Having done extensive research I decided on Autosock and got them from AUtoSock Direct. Once ordered they were received straight away. We have not used them yet so cannot comment on performance but we have done a test fit and found that they were easy to fit to the tyres.
These have been highly recommended but so far have not needed to use them. With a rear wheel drive, powerful estate car these are areal confidence boost to have in the boot!
Not used it yet, but delivery service was very quick.
A bit tricky this, I haven't had to use the AutoSocks but I know people who have and they are happy enough. I keep them as insurance. I had the inclination to check the fit on my spare wheel and they seem about right. I feel better knowing they are in the boot.
The AutoSock were brilliant. I'd tried to get up two different snow covered tracks to get onto the main road, and ground to a halt and had to reverse back down both times. Then I remembered I had the AutoSock. Put them on (very easy) and straight up the track. Well worth the investment. I must remember to put them back in the boot once the weather gets worse.
On my second pair now they are brilliant they will get you home or to work every time ,much easier than putting conventional chains on and cheaper than buying winter tyres
2 feet of snow in N.Wales. I was the only car in town and needed to drop off my son at the train station early morning. No problems and even came home straight up a 1 in 5 hill with no stress. Really good product, you have to remember that the back end slides about in a front wheel drive car!
I trust it works as advertised when I am in need
I ordered Autosock in the winter of 2012/13, after watching the online video I decided they were right for me, my properties drive has a slight slop and every time it had snowed in the past I had been forced to park on the road. Once I put on the socks my car drove up the slope even with 4inches of snow laying on it. I would always recommend Autoosocks
Do a test fit before the snow comes , makes a world of difference. when you know how long you are likely to be knelt down in the snow at the side of your car. gives you confidence you can be on your way in a few minutes. much easier than chains. Don`t even hesitate get a set.
Although I bought the auto sock last winter I haven't needed to use them yet. It's a great insurance to have them in the car knowing that I have a much better chance of completing my journey if I get fought out by bad weather. We were fortunate last winter that there was almost no snow. You never know when you might need to travel even though bad weather is forecast , and it's a great peace of mind knowing I have the auto socks ready to use. Well worth the money.
I didn't get chance to use it last year, but feel much more confident that these are in the boot, just in case.
Have not had need to use AutoSocks yet, even though we travel a lot in the hills of Wales. Maybe this winter!
Living on a hill really tests the "drive" and determination to get the kids to school and myself to work. For the first year ever I accomplished both tasks, thanks to Autosock. Neighbours were out using old carpets, cardboard, shovels etc. -they were astonished at their effectiveness, even lent mine to a couple to get them out of the estate.
Most people in the street could not get out one Saturday morning after severe snow overnight, once the snow sock was on I got up the street which has a slight incline with no issues. Highly recommended.
Fortunately, I have not had to use them so far (last year or this) on any of my vehicles. But I feel I have my insurance in the boot should the occasion arise!
Very speedy delivery, haven't had enough snow to try them yet, looking froward to the day when I can
I drive a Renault Master van around Bristol and 2 years ago was caught out on a slope which took me half a day to dig myself out of. When it does snow which thankfully is quite rare I still need to get out and about so last summer i bought a set of autosocks put them under the seat and forgot about them until winter when it snowed , I carried on my work and the second day got stuck at the bottom of a hill, I put the autosocks on in no time and tried to drive up the hill thinking that they would not work but to my surprise and delight the van flew up the hill and when I got to the top before I got onto the treated roads I took the socks off again, I did this about 5 times during they day and put them in a 5 min rapid wash when I got home and they were like new . best thing I have ever bought and would recommend to everyone
Simple to apply works perfectly gets you home.
This is the second set I've bought. Previously on a BMW 7 series, they enabled me to get home through the snows of 2010, then on a ski holiday where chains were mandated. Last year on my current car again in the snows of the three valleys. Small enough to keep in the car all year round, so that they are there should they be needed. Excellent product, lightning fast delivery and great value. Wouldn't be without them.
I used the Autosock on my Nissan Elgrand twice last winter and was very impressed with the result and also the ease of fitting/removal. On one occasion I also fitted them to my neighbours 4x4 that couldn't get any grip. Well recommended. Check out my video on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2_XfJLfgWI&feature=c4-overview&list=UUYETteThvTCMgQ2gwD5Kfpw
These are now saving me 30 minutes of strenuous digging when I am early day shift, I used to have to wake up at 4.30 instead of 5.00 to dig two channels out of the snow as I live at the bottom of a windy hill. Now I spend five minutes putting the socks on and drive straight to the top of my hill where I remove them in under a minute before resuming my journey. Great product and I have recommended them to all my family and friends.
Autosock is by far a great investment to get you out of a sticky situation when on a untreated road. Autosock is still the number one item to have in your boot when winter arrives. Forget the competition original Autosock are still the best on the market!
WHERE I LIVE MY PROBLEM WAS NOT SO MUCH GETTING UP THE HILL IN MY CROSSOVER BUT COMING BACK DOWN. wHEN THE CAR STARTED SLIDING I MANAGED TO GET IT INTO THE SIDE AND PUT ON THE AUTOSOCKS. I THEN HAD NO PROBLEMS GETTING DOWN THE HILL AND ALSO NO PROBLEM TURNING THE CORNER AT THE BOTTOM. I WILL DEFINITELY BE USING THEM AGAIN THIS WINTER.
Auto sock is really easy and quick to put on and works well on the snow Would have struggled without them, brilliant product.
We have a set of Autosock for each of our vehicles, 2 cars and a Sprinter van, they have all been used on numerous occasions during the winter and have proved to be invaluable, I cannot recommend this item enough, everybody should keep a set in their vehicle, they are a doddle to put on and just to have that piece of mind knowing that if you do do get caught out by bad weather you can drive with confidence.
Easy to put on. Only needed one of them in fresh snow. All the other cars and lorries were sliding around and I went straight up the hill that leads to our house. The car has low profile tyres that are useless in snow. Not tried in frozen snow and would expect that there may be quite a lot of damage to the sock. We use winter tyres on the other car a Yaris as my wife needs to do visits in roads that vary from cleared to unclear where chains are hopeless.
Since moving to bottom of hill with little run up, I've only used my socks twice, once up my hill to work only 1-2miles, and when I tested them to see how effective they where, found snowy hill, on quiet back road, and drove up as high as I could without socks, try 3 or 4 times to get the car the rest of the way up the hill with out socks on. Stop fitted socks spin the wheels complete fitting and happy drove up the rest of the hill, braking no the downhill feel much saver. Hope for lots more snow in the uk this year, More fun to be had :). AutoSock or 4x spare wheel with winter tyres, I would love real winter tyres (studded but illegal in uk :()
I didn't need to use my Autosock last winter so it's still available and tucked away in the boot ready for use again this winter - hence the mid range star rating above. I'd be happy to let you know how effective or otherwise it is should I get the need to use it then.
In snow felt more secure and safer with the Autosocks fitted. Able to drive when the alternative was far more risky without them. A must have for the British winter.
Living in the Devon countryside we needed a plough to get out over the last 4 winters. After a lot of research I finally plumped for a pair of Autosock for my wifes Rover 75 estate, as working in the care industry means she needs to get out no matter what. After using them 5 or 6 times, we were so happy with them that this year I have purchased some for my Golf estate. Tucked in the back of the car with the winter kit, we are ready for what ever comes our way. The minimum journey is 2 miles of country road until we get to the main road where we removed and carried on the salted blacktop.
I live in the middle of nowhere surrounded by lots of hills but AutoSock got me to the motorway and home again with ease. They are simply exceptional.
Bought them direct from AutoSock. Great service. Used them on my rear wheel drive Mercedes E class in blizzard emergency conditions on country roads. Cars abandoned all over the place and stranded motorists. I managed to get home safely. Literally a life saver. Could not recommend them highly enough. Could literally save your life one day.
I had to use chains on my car a few years ago and they were a nightmare to put on as it was snowing and dark. It took me about an hour to fit them and when we got down the mountain it took another 20 mins to get them off.
AutoSock are fabulous...I used these on my Mercedes sprinter van going up a hill in the snow last year, I lost traction and couldn't move forward, I opened the packet and pulled the socks around the wheel as much as I could, as I couldn't go forward I reversed my van and completed putting the AutoSock over the wheels. as soon as this was done I was able to drive up the hill in the snow as easily as anything. I had put the AutoSock on and was on my way within a few minutes... excellent product...
Cost effective solution for occasional UK use. Fairly easy to put on and effective when I used them. Unless you have winter or all weather tyres, Autosocks are an essential winter accessory.
AutoSock worked extremely well last winter. I have to go through some isolated hilly lanes that were very deep with snow and drifts, AutoSock got me through with ease.
I have used the AutoSock on a van, stuck on a hill in Brussels. Slip on the AutoSock and we were free!!
Used it in the Italian hills when it was impossible to access with just tyres, worked very well and very easy to get on and off
Although not yet used, the peace of mind from having AutoSock in the boot has been a factor in recent winters.
Since I purchased this product I have still to use it so I cannot comment on it as to how it works. I have seen it used by the RAC and that is why I bought it. In winter time it will be in the back of my car again just in case I need it.
ski drive to Austria winter 2012, had to use to get out of village Filzmoos in Austria )to get upto main road approx 5 mile from village. Very easy to fit ( would have been nightmare if snow chains ) on in 5 min. Would recommend
Used two pairs, front and back, on a beemer one skiing holiday, they were brilliant and have been hooked ever since. Have a set for each car and van in the household, and recommend them to all my friends.
Autosock is an excellent product. It is easy to fit and, once fitted, we were able to drive the vehicle through the snow and ice with ease. It is an excellent product and ensures that, in an emergency, you are able to use your vehicle.
I am afraid I have not personally used this product as before I could I had to change vehicles, but I have my auto socks to my daughters boyfriend. He I think has used them once and was delighted with the ease of use and efficacy. Thank you
I haven't used them yet, but I feel confident that they will be up to the job, when I need them.
AutoSock is fantastic. So simple to put on and incredibly effective. We were stuck on compacted snow, that had turned to ice, facing downwards into a big bank of snow. No amount of snow grip strips, digging out or packing in extra snow worked. Quickly putting AutoSocks on we reversed out with ease. The BMW parked next too us was stuck on the mountainside all week! We wouldn't go anywhere during the winter now without them.
when our motorhome started sliding in a traffic jam, we got our autosocks out and had them on the wheels in a couple of minutes.. people were amazed at the ease we drove through the snow, passing all the motorists that thought it was funny to see us sliding backwards. they weren't laughing then, they wanted to know where we had got them from!!!!
Having read good reports of AutoSock I decided to be prepared.
